Slow coffee in a fast city.
A coffee house and small bakery in Dubai. We roast on Tuesdays, bake before dawn, and keep the chairs comfortable enough that you forget to leave.

A warehouse in Al Quoz, a room in Jumeirah.
We opened in a converted warehouse in Alserkal Avenue because it had tall windows and nobody minded the plants. Four years later we added a smaller room on Al Wasl Road, mostly because our regulars asked. Both are run by the same eight people.
Our story →What we're pouring and baking this week.
Three things we care about.
Roasted here, on Tuesdays.
Small batches in the back of the warehouse. Two single origins and the house blend, never more than ten days old when you drink it.
Baked before you wake.
Laminated dough is started the night before. The first croissants come out at 6:40 and the last cardamom knots go by early afternoon.
A room, not a queue.
No laptops after five on weekends, no music above conversation, and enough plants that the air feels different.
Two rooms. Same coffee.

Notes from the counter.

The slow pour, and why we bother
Ninety seconds of patience is the difference between a cup you finish and one you leave half-drunk on the table.

Why the cardamom knots sell out by two
We make sixty a day. We could make more. Here is why we don't.

Where our beans sleep before they meet you
A short walk through the back room, the burlap sacks, and the two weeks that decide how your morning tastes.
Come and sit down.
We're open every day. Bring a book, bring a friend, or bring nothing at all.
